For all other types of driver downloads, double click on the downloaded file and run through the extraction process and then follow the instructions below:

  1. Go to Start, Settings, Control Panel, Printers and Faxes.
  2. Click on Add a Printer.
  3. Proceed until you get to the list of Manufacturers and Printers.
  4. Click on “Have Disk” and then browse to the location where the files where copied. For Example, a C3450 path would look like this “C:OkiDriverOkiC3450” The last file you will double click on is the OKB3H030.INF file and then proceed with the installation.
  5. Follow through the rest of the steps and the printer will be installed.

Windows Vista / Windows 7

Some Download packages from the website contain automatic installers. Once driver is downloaded click on the downloaded file to begin driver installation. For all other types of driver downloads, double click on the downloaded file and run through the extraction process and then follow the instructions below:

  1. Click on the “Windows” button on the bottom left of the screen. (Used to be the Start Button)
  2. Go to Control Panel, Hardware and Sound, Printers (in Windows 7 it is called Devices and Printers), Add a Printer.
  3. Proceed until you get to the list of Manufacturers and Printers.
  4. Click on “Have Disk” and then browse to the location where the files where copied. For Example, a C3450 path would look like this:”C:OkiDriverOkiC3450” The last file you double click on will be the OKB3H030.INF file and then proceed with the installation.
  5. Follow through the rest of the steps and the printer will be added.

Windows 8

Some Download packages from the website contain automatic installers. Once driver is downloaded click on the downloaded file to begin driver installation. For all other types of driver downloads, double click on the downloaded file and run through the extraction process and then follow the instructions below:

  1. From the initial start screen right click on a blank area. On the bottom right you will see an option for “all apps”. Click on that.
  2. Click on Control Panel, Hardware and Sound, Devices and Printers, Add a Printer.
  3. The next screen that comes up will show windows searching for your printer. The best thing to do in most cases is to click “stop”. Then click next and you will come to the manufacturers and printers screen. Click on Have Disk and browse for the files just like in the Windows 7 / Vista install. ( In some cases we may not have a driver available for your specific printer so it would be wise to allow windows to detect the printer and automatically install a generic PCL driver). This is on a case by case basis.

If you get a message during the driver install that tells you the specified driver cannot be installed as it’s not digitally signed then you won’t be able to complete the installation process. Follow the instructions below to bypass this and add the printer anyway:

  1. Go to the initial start screen.
  2. Move your mouse to the upper right hand corner to invoke a right side menu to pop out.
  3. Click on settings.
  4. Click on Power.
  5. Hold down the shift button on your keyboard while clicking restart.
  6. Go to Troubleshoot, Advanced Options, Startup Settings and then click restart.
  7. Push 7 on your keyboard (disable driver signature enforcement).
  8. The printer will now reboot and you will be able to follow the steps above and add the printer.
  9. The next time you restart your PC your startup settings will go back to default. If you ever need to add another printer of this type then you will need to repeat these steps.

Mac OS 10.5/10.6

  1. Run the downloaded file to extract the driver files.
  2. Go to the apple menu at the top left of your screen, then click on system preferences, go into print and fax.
  3. Click on the plus button under the printer list.
  4. Click on the default tab
  5. Click on your printer that should be displayed in the list. Make sure where it says “print using” that the correct driver is selected and click add. If it is not then you can browse for the printer driver. If you have a GDI printer then you will need to select the “More Printers” option under the default tab. Then click on OKI USB or OKI TCP/IP depending on your connection. At this point select your printer and click add.
  6. At this point the printer has been added and will now show up in the installed printer list.

Mac OS 10.7/10.8

  1. Run the downloaded file to extract the driver files.
  2. Go to the apple menu at the top left of your screen, then click on system preferences, go into print and scan.
  3. Click on the plus button under the printer list.
  4. Click on the default tab.
  5. Click on your printer that should be displayed in the list. Make sure where it says “print using” that the correct driver is selected and click add. If you have a GDI printer then you will most likely see 2 printers showing up in the list. You want to select the driver that says “Hiper-C” and then add the printer.
  6. At this point the printer has been added and will show up in the installed printer list.

Only thing that worked for me so far: I downloaded the driver. PPR Test Page etc. Today it prints just fine, though it still blinks red. I installed the driver as you described but when I go to print a document from openoffice the light on the printer flashes as though everything is Ok but it fails to continue printing. Works on Mandriva Thanks for the ppd file, I can now print to our oki b printer.
