Fallout 2 Vault 15 Combat Armor Rating: 3,6/5 8618 votes

My character is an unarmed build, level 10 and gets blown to pieces because of stupid automatic guns in vault 15 the second I step in. Speech was never an option because he's a dumber than a crackhead. I've reloaded for an hour just trying to kill one of them and nothing. DIfficulty has no effect, if anything i'm dying quicker with difficulty down.I'm not gonna cheat and grab a overpowered power fist, or go to Navarro and get power armor and tons of other♥♥♥♥♥♥and sell it all for 300 caps max at every vendor I see. I want to play this how the devs intended, clear vault 15 so I can get to the computer mainframe and learn where vault 13 is and not get stupidly lucky by going down dumonds path and tracking down the deathclaws since my character's luck 9, was 10 until I took the hubologist's zeta test and got his only redeeming quality reduced. The Khans're all carrying weapons that can do burst shot, like 10mm SMG, of course those are far deadlier than any single shot rifle, maybe it's the restoration project.I gave up on the game, though. Atleast I hope so: hard for me to stop playing something I once thought was the best game I've ever played(my first three playthroughs were speech characters), ran into problem after problem after problem that I just couldn't fix or find any help for on the internet and it was probably gonna do a number on my mental state so I just got off.Thank you for trying to help, though, Pat.

This isn't the vault I was looking for, but my goodness there's a lot of loot! Subscribe to be informed when I. Sfall is a Fallout 2 engine tweak originally created by Timeslip. The main features are: Increase movement and combat speed to up to 10x normal. Play fallout in a window or in 16 bit colour mode. Use d3d9 in place of the usual ddraw. Use the mouse scroll wheel in the inventory, barter, conversation and save/load menus.

Spoilers.OK burst weapons, they do have a lot of those. Did you make any enemies on the surface, like rescue the girl? Do anything that might rile up the gang later. That way the gang stays peaceful, and you say your name is Pat, but with low speech, that may not work. A low speech character must have high sneak skill to control how many enemies come at you in combat. Usually I steal the chems off the lvl 1 guards, esp. The guy with the psycho before any combat.

2 Psycho and some stims can get you thru this if they don't get a lucky armor piercing critical. Aim for the head to knock them down so you can take their stuff during combat.

And eyes for the kill. Yeah, I think it's the sneak skill I've gotta increase, not kidding, the whole area is alerted when I go down there, the only way I've been able to 'survive' a turn is to go down down the elevator, get attacked cause they have better sequence and take 30 damage if I'm lucky, then punch one in the eyes, hoping I knock an eye out, which my guy usually does( they get thrown back too far for me to grab their guns). Then I'd go back up the elevator.

If I go a turn down there, there's four men directly there 3 of them with burst weapons, and everyone else in the room is coming. And yeah, my guy has too much Autism to say he's Pat, all I can say is I got my ID for them, and that ID is death. Your dedication to helping people is very appreciated, if I ever get back on the game, I'll make sure to try it again with your wisdom. Although, I've probably screwed myself over anyway, since I'm attacked right when I get down.

When I stopped playing I was having far more trouble with the San Francisco Arena, and just gave up after doing it for probably 3 hours and crashing non stop. Completed it once and got 8000 xp so I couldn't bring myself to just skip it if I somehow got through it once. Sad, cause the reason I got on a fourth playthrough in the first place was because i got nostalgic of the Shi. Get Power ArmorI don't think the devs necessarily thought people should not use it by then.

That's supposed to be later in the game anyway.I wouldn't call that cheating either, as you can still do well with just combat armor and decent enough stats. But it's dumb to try to clear out Vault 15 with low stats and ♥♥♥♥♥♥ equipment, or if an unarmed character wear power armor anyway. And compared to some random encounters, clearing out Vault 15 isn't much. You'd best level up, get better equipment, etc.Nevermind, I had something else here but forgot the 2nd level where you enter and you have enemies right there next to you right away. But anyway, having no ranged weapons will just limit you much more.
