(Guild Wars 1). Hello everyone,as the title says I'm in search for a list, or an archive or however you want to call it, of add-ons/mods for GW2.Since I was playing in classic, and until HoT was released, I knew that all kinds of mods and add-ons to the game were prohibited and would get you a ban.Once I returned to the game I have talked to some people after seeing videos of guilds like quantify, where they use damage metres and other stuff. As some of you may know out of WoW or similar games. But those people couldn't answer me. All they said was that they also heard about it.Now I have searched for a thread that answers my question, but I wasn't really successful. Google didn't help me either, instead I only found old articles with people saying it is not allowed to use such. The damage meter that I heard about was BDGM. I looked through its' website but I was confused because the main page says the developer got a permanent ban for using it but also says that it works out on the current patch and is allowed to use.Now are these kind of add-ons allowed or not?I think that probably many other players out there, are looking for a, let's say simple list, with all legal addon/mod names and where to find them.
I also think such a thread would help all kinds of people, new players or veterans who just heard about this, to find such a list faster through google etc. Since the title is pretty much on point.I'm talking about websites like curse where you can easily browse through all kinds of different add-ons for e.g. WoW.So if you know, use or heard about something that might answer this question, please help out.If such a thread already exists and my search just wasn't good enough, I apologize and hope you can redirect me to it.Greetings, ivmrtk. Looking at the wiki I found but I don't know if these projects are still alive or if they even work. But you have two categoriesInjectors: work with your Client to do stuff like display windows or improve/modify your graphics. Probably the only DPS meter out there. Is a pool of effects that can be applied to your Client to enhance the graphics.
same as reshade but specifically used for GW2Overlays: Are as the name the name suggests windows or information laying above your client (so windowed fullscreen is necessary for it).those are the ones I could come up with on the fly. They don't endorse overlays, but they don't disallow them either. So that's that.
We have been using them ever since and no one get banned. So i'd say don't worry too much.Anet is not big on dps meters however cuz they think it may create a toxic environment for the players. But i don't think it'll create an advantage over other players. The dev is always on with Chris Cleary so it'll always be with the TOS and not against it.
Hundreds thousands of us have been using it till this day. This is almost like a must if you get into raids. They only read the data off you and anyone else in your party/squad. Just read, so if there's a new gw2 client update, you'll have to wait until they release their new arcdps version to be able to pull off the new data, or else it'll result in some crashing. BDGM has been discontinued so don't use it. The dev released a shaddy version that has gear checks and that's the main reason he get banned. It's so sad to say bye to a good dps meter.
But at the same time it will stop a lot of salt in game since people can see exactly what you're wearing.there are also that offers quite some apps on their appstore and they're all safe. Since overwolf is a prestigious platform that not only for gw2 but for a lot of other games.
Though i think some of the gw2 apps there maybe old and not get updated often? But it sure gives you an option to display fps on screen.there's the that builds specifically as a gw2 reshade option. If you want to go on that road and want to tweak your graphic settings to look better than what you have now. If you want to use reshade, use these instead of the reshade one on reshade.me. It's basically the same with tweaks that work so much better in gw2.the overlay coming from its gw2timer website that has been promoted on Anet. It gives you a lot more easy access info about boss timers and other things. Can be toggle on and off with a click of a button in game.if you're a wvw or pvp players, you may also want to look at as in the heat of battles, sometimes your mouse cursor disappears.
And i don't think i'm the only one experiencing this. So this overlay will replace your in game mouse cursor to be whatever you want and they won't disappear ever again.there are also 2 other overlays that you can use.
Imo, the taco is better since you don't have to deal with the shady browser from pao. That browser option can be turned off too but gw2pao crashes a lot for me. While on the other hand the gw2taco is very confusing to look at first, but it has more options to make your gaming smoother.some of these will only appear if your display is on windowed fullscreen. Hope it helps ^ - ^. Thank you for making TacO and continue to develop it and give it life.i think it's too many little options and blocks of text in the menu blown me away at first.
I quickly uninstalled it cuz i couldn't make use of some of the features or just didn't play around long enough. So that's the confusing part when you first look at it. Later on, i reinstalled it and retried.
It took sometime getting used to.the full map timer window hurts my eyes a little xd wish i could adjust the opacity or something. The compact version on the other hand looks great though. Or if i could drag the compact version and make it bigger?i think other options like debug text, check for updates, close when gw2 quits would do wonder to be put near about gw2 taco to clean up the menu a little. While range circles and mouse highlight could be put in the same group.
That's just my 2 cents ^ - ^the jp puzzles and guild races objectives are absolutely amazing. Help me a lot =.
Contents.TexMod TexMod is a third-party tool that can be used to alter textures in games rendered with DirectX 9.0. For more information on TexMod and other related tools please read about.TexMod can be downloaded.
TexMod Manual (This information is copied from the Readme.txt file inside the Texmod download.)TexMod Beta VersionTexMod is a utility to find, save and modify Direct3D textures in DirectX 9.0 or greater(!) applications. In order to share and distribute texture modifications, changes are compiled into a file known as a 'package' and is saved with a.tpf extension.
The benefits of TexMod are that you don't have to modify any game files and you don't require any specific modding tools.Modes The application interface offers three modes:. Package mode: add package files to a list and load them into the selected application. Packages on top of the list are loaded first. Change the package order to prioritize a package if it changes the same texture as another one. Logging mode: choose between several options and start the selected application in logging mode. You can browse through all loaded textures of the application and save the selected one in the output folder. For every saved texture a line will be appended to the texmod.log file in the output folder in the format the Package Builder expects it.
Build mode: create a package by selecting a definition file (e.g. An automatically created log file) and entering your name and a comment, which both will be shown when opening the package in the package mode. Please note: This is an early beta version and does not offer application specific fixes. Don't be surprised if your application crashes or shows other strange behavior and expect a slight performance drop, especially when you use the logging features.Definition file syntax The definition file, which contains a checksum and a path to a texture file has to look like this: If the checksum is in hex format, it has to start with 0x, e.g. 0x00ABCDEF.The file path can be absolute or relative to the definition file.Controls in logging mode All controls are located on your numpad.KeyFunction+select next texture-select previous texture.filter drawn textures. Only filtered will be selectable./reset filter mode (show all textures again),reload the replacement definition file (reload modified textures without restarting your application).
Visual Guide Running a Mod. You will need a.tpf file, which is a file containing all the edited textures.
Fixing the 'shiny' effect the hard way. Depending on the filetype and image editor used, some textures will show a 'shiny' effect in-game when modded. This is either caused by the filetype or the image editor not supporting alpha channels. (IE, JPG format, or editing with MSPaint.) As mentioned above, the ideal filetype to use for modding is.dds. If this is not possible, you can also try editing with BMP. If your textures are still shiny while using BMP, the problem is more than likely the image editor itself rather than the filetype. At this point, there are two options.
One is to use an image editor which supports alpha, such as Photoshop, or Paintshop Pro. If you're interested in going this route, The GIMP, which is a free image editing program similar to Photoshop, may be downloaded from and.DDS plugin If you'd rather not use a different image editor, you can then solve this problem by replacing the reflection texture of the original texture with a plain black one (see image). Scaling test screen. The following test results may help you when modding the extracted graphics. As you can see in the screenshot, the size of the edited graphic is not equivalent to the in-game rendered graphic.
